Sood Medical Services were started 35 kms suburb of Aligarh district township by Late Dr S.S Sood, at Chharra with the intention to serve the rural population by his innovative social and medical services along with his wife Late Mrs. Raksha Sood in year 1969.
SMS has started its medical services in Aligarh district township by way of Sood Stone Clinic under the able guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Sood and Dr Rajeev Sood (MS) in Yr 1989. SMS Aligarh has pioneered in lithotripsy and successfully treated > 10000 cases of kidney and ureteric stones in last 20 yrs.
SMS has added Paediatric and Obs & Gynae unit in year 2010 .
Dr Ravi Sood (MD, DCH) has taken over as consultant paediatrician with special interest in Vaccinology, General Paediatrics, Nutrition, Infectious diseases, Developmental paediatrics. He graduated as Early Nutrition Specialist in 2018. He is also providing services of family physician - Treatment of general adult medical Diseases and Guidance for referrals (guiding for how and where to proceed for any illness).
Dr Meenakshi Sood (MD) - has taken over as obstetrician and gynaecologist with special interest in adolescent medicine, preventive gynaecological interventions, premarital councelling, routine obs and gynae surgeries, colposcopy and hysteroscopy.
Dr Shashank Sood, MS (General Surgery) has joined the venture in year 2012 and since than he is involved with gen surgeries upper GI endoscopy and laparoscopic surgeries.
Dr Priti Sood, MD (Anaesthesiology) is looking after Intensive care unit
Dr. Nitant Sood , MD (Obs and Gynae) has joined the venture in 2019 .
